Back to it – Week 1 Again
Last Monday, I got back into the diet.
I got derailed with sports, and have been eating whatever I wanted and maintaining at 160 pounds, or 18 pounds lost, for many weeks. (The last 5 pounds I had lost went right back on within a week, so they were probably just water weight.) I plan to do six weeks total, and hopefully be under 150 when I’m done. 147 is the upper limit of my bmi for a healthy weight, so that would be a nice start. I won’t be all the way to my goal, but I need energy right now, and I’ll get the last ten pounds off as soon as the season is over.
In week 1, I lost 3 pounds, so I am at 157 pounds.
Week 10
I lost 3 pounds this week! I’m back on my diet. I also finally started lifting weights, and I lost a half inch on my waist.
I have lost 23 pounds in 10 weeks. That’s 2.3 pounds a week, and 12.9% of my weight gone! I am feeling better, and can really tell I look better.
I have 16 weeks left, and only 17 pounds to go. I have lost 4 1/2 inches off my waist, with 4 1/2 inches left. (I am currently at 31.5 inches)
I have my motivation back from the holidays – it just took an extra week. So I think I can cook some again, rather than just using boxed meals.
Week 9
This week, I lost no weight.
It isn’t a real surprise – I had a lot of trouble sticking to my diet, and no motivation. This despite being halfway there.
I need to find some motivation, fast. Hopefully the transition back to work and the daily grind will keep me away from the fridge.
I have 20 pounds left to lose, and 17 more weeks. This is very doable.
Week 8
This week (or half week), I lost 1 pound.
I’ve lost 20 pounds in 8 weeks. I’m halfway there.
Wow.
Week 7.5
I was out of town and couldn’t check in on Monday, but in the last week and a half, I’ve lost 4 pounds!
That’s right – somehow I lost this weight over Christmas. I was pretty good, having one nice meal on Christmas Day and some limited alcohol, but working out some and overall being good.
Yay! 19 pounds total!
Week 6
I lost 1 pound this week and nothing on my waist. This isn’t really a surprise, since I went off my diet over the weekend.
I have lost 15 pounds in 6 weeks – an average of 2.5 pounds a week. I have 25 pounds to go, and 20 more weeks. I am currently at 163 pounds.
The pound I lost is 0.6% weight loss over the past week. I have lost a total of 8.4%.
Week 5
This week, I lost 3 pounds! I am now 164 pounds – 14 total pounds lost! I also lost 1 inch off my waist, and am now at 33 inches.
That’s a 1.8% decrease over the last week, and 7.9% lost over 5 weeks. Yay!
I have lost 3 inches on my waist.
I didn’t get into the exercise like I wanted to. Oh well – this is a new week!
Week 4
This week, I lost 1 pound. This is not too surprising since I stuck to my diet but only worked out once. I need to work out regularly (including lifting weights).
I am now 167 pounds, for a total of 11 pounds lost. This week, I lost 0.5% of my body weight, for a total of 6.18% over 4 weeks.
My waist stayed the same at 34 inches. So in four weeks, I’ve lost 2 inches on my waist.
Not bad, but I definitely need to find some motivation to exercise this week.
22 more weeks and 29 more pounds. 7 more inches on my waist. I’ve done too much to stop now.
Week 3
I lost 2 more pounds over Thanksgiving (!) for a total of 10 pounds! I’m 25% of the way there.
This week, I lost 1.17% of my body weight, for a total of 5.6% in 3 weeks.
I also lost half an inch off my waist, so I am now at 34 inches, with 7 inches to go.
This week, I’d like to continue my running program (week 3) and start lifting weights.
Week 2
I lost 5 pounds this week and 1/2 inch off of my waist!
I am now 170 pounds with a 34.5 inch waist.
That’s a 2.8% loss this week, and 4.4% (8 pounds) over 2 weeks!
I need to lose 1 1/3 pounds each week from here on out – 32 pounds in 24 weeks sounds much more attainable than 40 pounds in 26 weeks.
My goal this week (Thanksgiving) is to work out as much as possible so I don’t gain any weight, and to have reasonable portion sizes and limited desserts.
Yay!
